Rus 3517 - Dismounted Druzhina

Hello,

Druzhina Cavalry with Dismountable option dismounts as Loose Infantry, while Dismounted Druzhina is Close Infantry.

Is the difference intended ?

A difference was intended.  Whether they ought to dismount as flexible is another matter.  I am not inclined to change it at this stage but will make a note to consider this for the 2026 lists.

Can't remember the source but doesn't one account have the Rus standing like a wall of ice? ie as a very tough shieldwall. So when Druzhina make a front rank it seems reasonable that they can only be close. Whether they should be flexible when a pure Druzhina unit (ie the Dismounted cavalry) is more of a judgement call - does seem like if they know how to stand close together they might remember it even when they've just jumped off a horse  ....
