Hi, couple of questions on the Burgundian (5509) list.

Internal allies should normally have a minimum of 2 UGS . If one takes a French Internal ally only enough troops for one UG are listed. So in this case one UG is sufficient?

If an army after 1420 is chosen, at least half the Burgundian knights must be downgraded to average. Does this mean that the coustilliers  in that UG must be downgraded to poor?

The introductory text on internal allies says "When an internal ally is allowed, and no contingent is specified..."
In this case it is a contingent so the normal rules do not apply.

No, they are not knights.

Cheers - re the coustilliers - I should have specified I was referring to the case when they make up half of a TuG where the knights have been downgraded from superior to average.

Due to the provision that if any bases are downgraded, all bases in the UG must be downgraded. But I wasn't sure if this applied where the bases were of different types, as here.

Not in this case as it is applying to a specific part of the mixed UG.
"The Roman Empire was not murdered and nor did it die a natural death; it accidentally committed suicide."
