is a CinC in "line of command" of an ally? Intuitively I would say yes, but I can't find it in the rules.

Is this for KaBs? No, p. 54 "E. 2.3. The allied troops only suffer a KaB test for death of a General if their own allied-general dies."

It was specifically in reference to generals fighting with a file. Can a CinC fight in a file in an Allied TuG?

Any general can fight - and die - with anyone.

Si

Page 52 B2 says that an ally general's troops cannot be influenced by another general, and that an ally general cannot influence troops not of his contingent. Therefore, you are saying that fighting and giving the genrals +1/+2 is not influencing?

Asking as it sounds like influencing to me  ;D

Another fine spot sir.
Hard to argue with you.

So keep it as as written: an Ally cannot boost a non-Ally and Vice-Versa.

Accidental on my part but I am pretty happy at that, so let's leave it that way.
I'll delete my earlier comment and Ray's reply to minimise confusion to others.

So, to be ABSOLUTELY clear. A CinC cannot fight with a TuG that is from an Ally. Cannot use double cards to move a TuG from an Ally. Cannot do anything to an Ally.

I think it has logic accidental or not  ;D

It indeed has a logic either way.
Quite happy as written so lets leave it at that.

Is also consistent with KaBs for dead generals IIRC so keeps things tidy.
