mobile camp

Has anyone found any advantages for a mobile camp that in fact seems near immobile ?

Nice camels and/or wagons to paint up?

(I have two mobile camps, both with camels (10mm and 15m respectively), all just one hump though)

I have used a mobile camp and avoided getting contacted for an extra turn and won a game.

Whether they are worth the extra points, I am not so sure.

I am. They are not. I've only taken one when compulsory with my Arabs (Khawarij, I think).
