A coimmunal CIC may have a feudal ally general .

There is a feudal contingent in the army

But what may/must the feudal ally have as UGs : only UGs from the feudal contingent ( which is intuitive ) or should the feudal allied have guildsmen and burghers which might be difficult and leads to another question

The army has 4 bases mandatory Burghers but may go to 6 bases,

The CIC takes a 4 UG ..there remains 2 available bases so what about an internal ally who should take burghers ? I would say it does not have to as there are not enough bases available . But who knows

Feudal generals command only UGs from  feudal contingents.

Communal generals command only UGs communal contingents.

As the notes say, the minima and maximums apply to each contingent.  So each communal contingent must have 4-6 burghers.  This overrides the usual rules for internal allies. (The notes at the start of each set do say "where no contingent is specified").
