Tournament in San Jose CA 11/16/19
« on: September 17, 2019, 09:27:56 PM »
The San Jose CA group is hosting a 1 day, 3 round tournament at the Game Kastle in San Jose on 11/16. Start time for Round 1 will be 10 AM. The format will be 10,000 points, any list in MeG, three 3-hr rounds, bring your own terrain. I suggest that anyone planning to come from out of the area let me know a few days in advance to make sure we have room. We’ll do our best to accommodate all comers. We have a few newish players. We know of a player or two who want to play less than 3 rounds, and we’ll plan to be flexible enough to allow for that.

We really ought to come up with a catchy name for the event, but that has not been done yet.
Hope to see you there!

Just a reminder. This event remains on track. We have 6 tables guaranteed, more if needed. Come and join the struggle. Come see the violence inherent in the system!

All good ideas, Ray! I personally like ‘The Violence Inherent in the System’, but it’s perhaps a bit long.

One last reminder! I ask that all participants email me your lists by tomorrow (11/6) night, if humanly possible. If you want to borrow an army, this is particularly important.

Working name for the event is “Unknown Soldier” unless it gets changed again.

I have now a complete list of those who have confirmed for Saturday’s unnamed tournament (‘Unknown Soldier’ having been mocked off the stage). We have 8 confirmed players.

1) John Baumann        French Ordonnance
2) Brad Bode.             Feudal German
3) Lenny Herrmann.    Serbian Empire
4) Rich Gagliasso.       Late Republican Roman
5) Adem Bilguta          Later Nikephorian Byzantine
6) Mike (last name forgotten) Later Carthaginian
7) Dale Shanek.           Later Burgundian
8) Dave Lauerman.       Bamarised Shan

This is an interesting combination of armies, if a bit knight heavy. Only two armies can have elephants. SHould be some classic violence!

Gonna be some swashed metal and some arrow filled Ellies methinks.
Great to see you get up to 8 locally without the Dans too!

All going very well here with PSC.  More news soon.

I'll put up a starter set of INVASION EARTH for the winner.

We have 8 confirmed players on 4 tables.

1) John (French Ordonnance 1467 AD) vs Adem (Later Nikephorian, 1063 AD)
2) Brad (Feudal German 1250 AD) vs Dave (Bamarised Shan, 1305 AD)
3) Lenny (Serbian Empire, 1314 AD) vs Dale (Later Burgundian, 1479 AD)
4) Rich (Late Republican Roman, 57 BC) vs Mike (Later Carthaginian, 250 BC)

All this can be redone if more people show up, which looks unlikely. Plan to be at GK at 9:30 on Saturday so we can begin rolling dice by 10 AM.
