Elephants TUGs may attack fortified camps

Fortified camps, even roman with ditches and so on, are barricades.

Barricades have no impact on nellies except that the defender is not in open terrain.

So your fortified camp is a pretty target for nellies or am I missing something

Yes indeed - they would make a bit of a mess of them I am sure.
Unless they hit a Superior Roman one.

Even a superior camp . It would be +1 for Sup vs + 2 for the Nellies . So much for a superior fortified roman camp. Roll the dice ...but melee is more equal

Indeed. Melee even.
So if you can get fresh elephants into a camp it I mayhem.
Feels right to me.
But not their best use.... find me some tin cans on horses!!
