How are people building their mid republican romans with the constraints on triarii and light troops now relaxed?  Any sample lists people have used and are willing to share?

Aphilla,

One of the members of our West Coast miniatures club runs that army. He uses five stand groups, upgrades all Legionnaires to superior where possible. The Numidians are an exceptional value in my opinion, a must have. I think it's a challenging army to play against. Hope this helps.

I use them in 5s and take the Numidians.
4 TuGs Superior legionaries usually, 4 average.
Basic cavalry to cover flanks.
Floating general and make maximum use of mobility.
All about the legions.

I have built the army but due to competition restrictions have been unable to use it yet.
I have 4 x comp gens. 6 x 6 legions. 2 x 4 Superior Triari. 2 x Elephants. 2 x 4 cavalry. 1 x 8 Spanish. 1 x 6 cretan. No velites.

Thanks to everyone who has responded.  In particular, Simon, it doesn't sound like you've changed much at all about how you'd put this together from before the proportionality constraints were relaxed?

I *do* love the ways this rules sets and these army lists handle the Numidians.

Indeed my version is unchanged by that except for a bit more freedom on light foot.
Just a little better sized due to 2019 points rebalancing.
I will post it up when I find it.
