deployment of troops with characteristics

If troops have a additional paid for characteristic, for example stakes,dismountable etc., can they deploy dismounted or with stakes in place or are they part of the first round moves i.e Long bowmen are deployed and then they have to pay a card to place stakes, Dismountables deploy mounted then dismount at the cost of a card in first round?

For example Stakes says they can be emplaced at the end of deployment or by playing card(s) in the movement phase. Same for Dismountabe.
