A TUG fights frontally so is engaged. That same TUG is charged in the flank and breaks at impact !

I am right to say that pursuit is not mandatory as at the moment it breaks, the TUG is fighting in 2 directions ? ( once to the front , once to the flank even if it had no time to face the flank charger )

Francis Small

Absolutely. The rule (p. 165, B2) refers to "enemy in contact" in multiple directions, so whether or not the UG is facing in multiple directions is irrelevant - it just has to be fighting in multiple directions.
