Would there be interest in a tournament themed to cover the more "obscure" armies?

The list would include:
Any army from the three Americas  sets.
From the Africa set:  Kingdom of Benin; Kilwa Sultanate; Bantu Kingdoms; Kongo; Central African.
From the South East Asian set:  Indonesian or Malay (max 2 Elephants); Moluccas.
From Mandate of Heaven:  Erlitou Chinese; Chinese Northern Barbarians (pre 700 BCE).
From Spain, Sicily and Africa;  Sicel (no allies); Sardinian (no allies); First Servile War Slave Revolt.
Special pleading might be allowed for other really obscure armies or variants.  Any army with more than 6 decent cavalry, camelry or 3 or more elephants won't be allowed!

If there is sufficient interest, I will see if I can organise something around Guildford area.
If you might be interested, please reply to this topic.  If you are interested but don't have any army, I have several I could lend (as I can field at least 4 armies from the above list!).

Hi Richard .. yes would be very interested in this - an excellent opportunity to bring the Bantu out of hiding

Commodore Rob

I would be interested, if I had time to find and paint army to play with. So for me it depends when you are considering this.

Can I bring Southern Mapouche 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Obviously I'll be there if real life doesn't intervene.

No idea about army

If Kingdom of Benin why not Hausa? Neighbours et al...
;)
Yes, very interested. Wonder if any of the Oceanian lists are valid too?
I have 15 28mm rugby players who claim to be Maoris.
List bounced...

Finding a free weekend to hold the event will be a bit challenging!

At the moment the only spare weekend I appear to have is 4th/5th December.  That is between Warfare and Ribble Rumble.
Would that be suitable?  If we can't find 6 platers then we will postpone to next year.

Oceania lists would be valid.  I am happy to consider any non-cavalry/camelry army list as long as you make the army suitably obscure and naff.

I have a big family party down at Ferring that weekend. SWMBO will cut my nuts off!

Definitely interested. Probably have 2 permitted armies!
Cannot make the morning of the 4th December as I am giving a lecture.

The issue, as ever, is identifying a suitable date.  Won't be in 2021, but I hope maybe for sometime in 2022.

Yes, certainly interested.
Prize for the worst army maybe?
Lance.
