Please note this is the latest draft (there could be some tweaks)
At the moment I don't know when tickets will go sale.

Proveho Augustii
(carry on Emperor)
Augustus to Romulus Augustulus, 27BCE to 476CE

Army selection is restricted to the armies and enemies that fought for or against Rome between 27BCE to 476CE.  The idea is that the weekend is themed around the Western Roman Empire from the 27BCE when Octavian started to bring stability to the empire and was given the name Augustus until the last recognised Roman Emperor Romulus Augustulus in the West.   So ideally players should choose an army that fits roughly within this theme.  So the weekend has a bit of character I would  like to know the historical leaders name for the army and whether they are fighting for or against the mighty Empire.

Armies can be selected from the Classical Period, and the following from the Early Medieval Period Britain, Byzantium,  Frankia and the Steppes and Eastern Europe. All lists are available on the Mortem et Glorium website.  If allies are chosen they must have fought with that army in the period specified.

Any questions or issues please contact Adrian Nash.:
Lists should be submitted on the latest army builder pro-forma:  This available from the MeG website. The list-checker will be Adrian Nash, to be submitted by email only to Adrian_nash71@blueyonder.co.uk

The list submitted must not exceed the points specified and as permitted by the theme.
The competition is single list format. Any incorrect list discovered after a game has commenced (after set up dice have been rolled) must be corrected prior to deployment if spotted in time, and fully corrected in any case before the next match.
Army lists must be submitted for checking in advance and must be received before July 5 2020.

House Rules:
The scoring system will be the standard MEG tournament system.
A modified Swiss Chess system will operate throughout the competition.
Ideally players should bring their own 6x4 cloth.
Players must supply their own terrain pieces. These must be to an acceptable standard, and umpires will have the discretion to remove unsightly items.  Pieces of plain felt are not acceptable. Terrain can be commercially purchased or homemade.
In addition all figures must be representative and painted and based to an acceptable standard.
Games will last for three hours and the umpire will call last phase prior to this time.
Tables should adhere to the tidy tables policy set out by Simon Hall
Please note that the whole of the Devizes School site is designated a no smoking area.

I don't know yet. We had 20 places last year but we did not fill them all.

As soon as I know I will post.

Dear all, just received for the following from Phil at Devizes Club. No surprise but sadly this event is cancelled this year.

Hello Adrian,

It is with great regret that the DDWG committee has made the decison not to hold Attack! in 2020.

Under the current circumstances it seems unlikely that the full effects of the Covid-19 virus will be past us by the time July comes around and we have yet to understand what that will mean with regard to social distancing.

The show takes a lot of organisation and we always wish to bring you the best show we can so let's make 2021 the best possible . Provisional dates will be 17/18 July 2021.

Stay safe,

Phil
