Did I ask for one ? I just was curious as to why only loose and not flexible .

Thank you

I suspect it is because they went to the mountains but still they fought battles and won ( and lost )

I would plead flexible as it seems logical but must admit I have no sources but if I find something i'll give a call  8)

I am just wondering why the Joseon "battle" infantry is systematically "loose" while Japanese, Chinese are "flexible" ?

By "battle infantry" I mean, SSP, PA ...fighters

List Queries / 4515 Yuan Dinasty with Javanese ally 4806
« on: June 28, 2024, 08:29:35 PM »
Not so long ago I faced a Yan army . In 1293 CE, they may have an ally the 4806 ally . My reading is that it must be a JAVANESE ally from the Indonasian or Maly list and so entiytled to max 2 nellies but the list checker had another reading or : it's an ally from the Indonesian or Malay list and so may have up to 8 nellies.

As the yuan lists specifies "Javanese allies " my guess is only Javanese from the 4806 list

Am I correct ?

As the rules currently are, falling back is still an effective tactic for bowmen.  It is something I would really like to see altered in a future edition (quite a few years away!) making formed bowmen more effective at slowing down opponents and not allowing them to shoot and fall back.

I would agree that that tactic I used myself seems a bit Hollywoodian and very controversial as such tactics were unusual on an antique or medieval battlefield ( that I know of ). But what would the idea be : prohibit falling back if you shot or prohibit the fall back move for all infantry ? would it concern only infantry or mounted also

So yes I agree a change would be welcome.

Yes as the number of kpursores depends on the number of elite and line cavalry and must be by TUGs of 4 or 6 . The limitwill be the number of bases that must be by 4 or 6 and maximum half the number of elite+ line cav

There is no minima

Let us take the case of Quadi cavalry. It is average, SP . It may be upgraded SUP and DC . May it be downgraded from SUP to AV manipulating the system a little bit more ? downgrading the upgrade  :D

Player Discussion / Re: The MeG Podcast Season 4, Episode 7 - Terrain

A lon pub discussion ...well it could be broken down in 2 or 3 separate themes for people to listen to it. But that's up to other people to decide

If the aim is to reach towards younger players...short is the way and 45 minutes is already too long

By the way my problem with MEG ( and REG ) terrain is the 4 BW wide . I do have a lot of "nice" terrain, not felt but they are mostly 2,5 or 3 BW wide . Nice hills, ravines and so on ...but not really usable any more as not legal  so I did not buy new and costly terrain. Felt is nice and cheap .

I do not question the quality at all but the length .Would shorter episodes, 45 minutes not be more attractive ( I speak from my Public Relation studies ) . When I open the link and it say nearly 2 hours of discussion I just wonder if I have that time .

Keep on
