MeG Fantasy / Old Hammer Armies

My friends revived Warmaster recently and we played a few games on Tabletop Simulator. 

I found myself thinking "well, this is ok, but I wish it was MeG."

Seems like the Old Hammer world would be a good target market for Fantasy MeG.  Many people have existing armies both in 10mm Warmaster and larger scales.

Has anyone tried or is anyone actively working on adapting (in a non-intellectual property infringing way of course) old hammer armies lists for Fantasy Meg?

Assuming Magna and Pacto will be an option in Fantasy MeG, will Wizards cost a lot more in points or will the damage of spells be modified in some way?   If a Wizard gets a few red cards he could devastate a pacto army, especially if timed right to trigger that cascade of KaB tests that end many Pacto games.

I guess I'm assuming KaB tests will be the same too.  Maybe fantasy people (and monsters) are inherently less concerned with their own safety than real soldiers  :)

What about Dispells or Wizards blocking Wizards from casting?  Maybe opposing Wizard could play a card of equal value plus a colored card to block, but I don't know if that would be fun.  That could create a situation where only the guy who brought the most wizards gets to do anything with his wizards

Thank you Simon and Richard.  I definitely read chapter 8 a few times looking for it.  I never thought to check the glossary :)

I feel a little better that at least my instincts were competent.

I'm sure this is temporary blindness on my part and maybe the dumbest question on this forum, but I can not find anything in the rule book it where it states who the active player is on the first turn. 

Primarily for the sake of my sanity, can someone tell me where to find it in the compendium edition?

We've been playing it as the invader is the active player on turn one, but that could easily be something I imported or transposed from 30+ years of other rules and games that are in my head.
