Not really but sort of, once you declared the charge it was really your opponent who wasted his, as he also had to pay for the charge but paid after you had already done so. 

Table position might be a factor in doing so I suppose (if he was trying to prevent you breaking through to his rear or a flank facing unit behind the original UG, but that's all pretty situational.

It's also worth noting Instinctive Commanders cannot gift cards, only Professional Commanders can.

The QRS gives a really good breakdown of who can gift, how many cards and at what range depending on inf the Commander is attached to an UG or Floating.

We won't be in this year (we're in Canada on the in Alberta) but we're talking about playing next year, wanted to check on scale size (we've been playing at 20mm due to a pile of club owned 1:72 scale minis)

Does the +1/+2 claim for generals in combat only apply if the general is in the front rank?

We were playing last night and just counted the file getting the General claim  regardless of position?

Also a quick related question,
- in one of our fights a general was attached to a file that broke, routing from combat:
      -  we played this as getting a KaB test on the general for losing a unit the general is attached to (as per Page 74 6.N.6
      - and then another KaB test when the remaining base made it's rout move before being removed, pulling the General with them

Was this correct?

What I meant is in the pdf the item 2.3 should sit between 3.1 and 3.2 (hence 3.15, or 3.2)

As written now in the Pacto pdf after the out scoured player deploys their % of out scouted the other player immediately deploys to match (this item is listed before flank marches and ambushes)

It's correct in the PBS chart but the rulebook has it out of order (page 19)

Do you limit the number of units assigned to the number of cards a commander gets?  IE 3 cards - 3 units?

Hello all!

My buddies and I are just starting to paint up some Pacto armies and I was wondering how do you organize your forces?

- do you equally split them amongst your commanders (presuming you leave professional generals loose and attach an instinctive one)
- do you mix and match units within a commanders forces or do you say put all your cavalry under a single commander?

Just looking for a few rough ideas not on what to build but how to assign the units amongst the command

On page 91 of the new Pacto rules in the DICE heading of the KaB chart, it states that elephants and battlewagons test BLACK independent of quality.

Then on page 92 - 9.4.4 it states elephants and battle wagons start at WHITE

I did find a post from November of 2022 stating that the KaB baseline for these units was being reviewed and I'd like to clarify which of the entries is correct please?
