yes, it happens after it has been open a while, normally not quite long enough to produce an army list.  I've opened the Protect Document in Tools - the window say unprotect sheet, has a blank box with Password (Optional) above it and three buttons to press - help, OK and cancel.  no matter what put into the password box and even if i type nothing clicking on OK or cancel tells me that the password is invalid.

i'm stumped, i need to use the calculator to generate an army and it doesn't work - clearly i'm doinf asomething wrong.  i downloaded Office libre as suggested but it just keeps locking itself

at random interval when trying to use the army spreadsheet i get an error message, basically it comes up saying that it is not protected but i must input the password.  any ideas?  is there some protection on the spreadsheet that i need to remove?

Probably a very silly question.  Are the  minimum / maximum numbers for each troop type figures or bases?  So if if says minimum 16, maximum 80 for a close order infantry troop type with an UG size of 4,6,8 would that be;
16/80 figures at 4 to a base giving between 4 and 20 bases organised 4, 6 or 8 base groups
Or
16/80 bases

I am fairly sure the min/max is figures but just wanted to check

Very basic question i'm afraid from a very new player (just bought ther compendium, have armies but never played a game).  my computer doesn't have xcel so i can't use the army builder, buying xcel can be expensive.  does anyone know what the best free downlaod is to get the army builder to run?
