Player Discussion / Getting the latest rules?
July 08, 2023, 09:41:45 AM
Hi,

Have the old folder and then the PSC Hardbound book. After a break, getting back into MEG games.

Upgrading to the newest set of the rules (v3??) - where do I get them?

I want to get the PDF and PDO.

The title of the page on the forums say go to the Lulu site for BOTH PDO and PDF but on the MEG webpage links it says go to the CCC website for the PDF. Which is it? And which is the latest rules?

Also, is there a 'bundle' to buy both the PDF and a PDO version together?

PDO here? (https://www.lulu.com/search?contributor=Simon+Hall&adult_audience_rating=00&page=1&q=gloriam&pageSize=10

PDF here maybe, despite what the forum sticky link says? https://ccc-games.co.uk/ccc/

BUNDLE: where?

And before I drop cash again, is there any planned changes to the rules coming up? I'd rather wait if so.

Thanks

Hi mate, I am not the TO - just passing along the pack.

If you message me your email I can connect you with the TO (his name is Carl).

TO (Carl) is having log in issues here but he has given me the player pack to share - see attachment below.

Please email him if attending (see pack) -- apparently they haven't been provided the registration list by CanCon yet...

Player Discussion / Re: Elephants and terrain.

In my head, rocky ground is baseball or maybe slightly bigger sized rocks at most. It is just rough enough that you wouldn't want to charge a horse through or try and push a coherent phalanx through, but an elephant could comfortably navigate.  That you cannot hide troops in it, helped me visualise that small-sized rock idea.

please please number the lists and the pages....
Done.  All lists will have a 4 digit number.  The first is the era - 1: Chariot; 2: Classical; 3: Early Medieval; 4: Asian; 5: Medieval; 6:Americas; 7: Rennaisance.
Second digit is the list set.  Last two digits are the army number.  So Early Sumerian is 1101.  Imperial Roman 2517 and so on.
All the allies and historical enemies have their numbers added.

Richard

Wonderful!  Kudos.

Ok, well if there is anything that the group can help with, please do shout out.

If anyone is prepared to proof read the list sets once they have been updated then great.  It involves checking the basics, like I haven't missed out a list, the contents correspond to the index etc.  I won't pretend it is anything but dull, but I would really appreciate it.  Private message me if you are prepared to help.  Needs to be done between November and mid-December.

Richard

Good idea!

Will be interesting to see how many people who are vocal about lists offer to help ;)

I'll send you a PM.

It will have been noted.

If I may quote Richard:

Quote
I have 630+ lists to sort out for 2023.  I will not be giving updates on each individual change.

Oh wow that is a LOT of work this far along in the MEG development.

Are you both reviewing every single one of the 630+ lists? That seems like a lot of work for lists that are supposed to be pretty much done?

Or just reviewing lists that people have asked questions about (Much MUCH less than 630+?) - though the quote above makes that seem not the case?

Bit surprised if you have to go through 630+ lists again - wish you much luck and coffee!
