I thought you use the unit footprint from just before it was broken/eliminated. I don't have the rule book with me but I am sure I have read that somewhere in the rout section.

In the section under Alaric's troops it has this as the last entry -"Regrade legiones comitatenses or pseudocomitatenses" 0-24.  My question is should the "regrade" be deleted or is there a missing entry?

I don't think you can do that. Once you have declared the charge you are committed. You would have to make a decision when you activate the unit if you are going to charge or hold it back.

I would say that if it is counted as good ground, it would move at the good ground value which is 4.

Can I get a clarification on how many cuauhchique and huitzilopochtli priest elements are allowed in a competition army. The description in the notes takes a bit of reading. If the army is for competition games do I upgrade all of the ehuatl bases in the unit to priests (for a maximum of 2 units upgraded with priests) or is there a base limit eg 4 as there is in non competition armies?

No they can't. Shoot and charge can't be used in a counter charge or intercept (p207, point 4 in shoot and charge), To use it I believe that the unit would have to declare its own charge and shoot at that time. If it was out of shooting range at that point then it would lose its shooting.

I was doing an isles and highlands army which has a lot of units that are 1/3 this and 2/3 that. There were also some individual units where troops were all the same. I have double checked that all units were numbered correctly and it comes up with a break point of 9.

Is there a cap on army breakpoints? I did an army that had 19 tugs but the army builder only gave 9 as the break point.

My apologies, it must be a work related issue as it worked fine when I got home just not at work.

Has anyone else had any issues downloading the army lists? Usually, when you go the army list section of the website, you get the front cover illustration that you click on to download the rules with the version number underneath. I have tried to download the version 3 books and when I go to the army list section all I am getting is the version number and no cover illustration so am not able to download anything. I have tried on 2 different computers and they both do not have the cover download link.

You want page 2 of the clarifications at the top "4 ways of contacting the enemy" although there are only 3 ways listed. If it is not in this section then it is an illegal way of making contact.
