Hi James & Robin,
Many thanks to both of you for replying to my Forum post. I have contacted Robin by his e-mail address already.
                           James , my e-mail is : seafever@hotmail.co.uk

James, if you would like to contact me, maybe we could arrange a date to meet. I can play games during the day ,most days except Friday's , as I am retired !.However I can play games at weekends if this is easier for you ?.
I have a Carthaginian Army and Numidian Army, with Spanish and Syracusan ones in preparation. All are Impetus based, but it seems I can adapt them for MeG games !.
Not sure which venue is easiest to get too !.

Regards,
            Steve.

Player Discussion / Member contacts in Bournemouth

Hi All,
I would like to get in contact with one or all of the following members in Bournemouth to play games of MEG.
     :-    Nigel Evans.
           Robin Spence.
           Laurence Donhoe.

I must explain that I obtained your names from a competition page from a recent event. It would seem like you are the nearest members to where I live in Lyme Regis, Dorset. I regularly game with a friend in Dorchester plus another friend in Sturminster Newton in Somerset !.As Bournemouth is about 50 minutes drive from Dorchester, it is not a problem to travel to Bournemouth to play games.
I haven't played MEG before, and was hoping that maybe one of you might be kind enough to show/explain to myself and possibly at least one of my friends how MEG is played !.
Also if there is anyone else out there who lives near to ourselves, that would be great also !.I would really appreciate if any of you could get in contact with me .

Thanks in anticipation ,
                                 Steve.

Hi Si and Richard,
Thanks for the replies. I will give your suggestions a try. We try to use a lot of figure based, or disguised markers in our games of Impetus to mark actions, and small numbered counters to mark reductions in strength . So we could just adapt these for MeG.
Really like the PBS for deciding terrain and deployment in MeG. Will probably wait until April to purchase V2 of MeG, so I have the up to date rule set !.
I used to be a member of Burnley Wargame club in the 80's and 90's ( showing my age ),and played many a micro tank WW2 game using Bev's own rules ( Mark Bevis ). Those were the days !!.
Is there anywhere on the forum to meet/ communicate with MeG players reasonably near where I live ?.I live in Lyme Regis, Dorset, but regularly play wargames with other gamer's in near Dorchester.

Thanks for any help, much appreciated,
                                                        Steve.

Hi All,
New to the site, and am thinking about taking up MeG. At present play 'Impetus' for my ancient 15mm wargaming and like using the 8cm wide bases with variable depth's. Is it possible to 'convert' MeG to use my 'Impetus' based wargame units ?.
Not sure where I should have posted my question regarding the rules, as a newbie to MeG, but thought here might be a good place to get an expert MeG player to give me some advice !.

Regards,
            Steve.
