Thanks for that badhabum. Two of the three files of the slingers would have been on white as they had losses, but being shot at point blank would still be better than hitting the legion and being wiped out  :)

Like I said, the game was up, so it didn't make a difference and we'll know what to do next time.

Cheers,

Hello all,

We have been playing MeG over Zoom for the last few weeks and are really enjoying it. Most of the rules questions which have come up have been answered by reading the rules or looking at the FAQ s Forum, but today we came across a situation which I couldn't find an answer to.

A Roman cavalry unit within a wound of breaking chose to charge a full strength unit of Numidian cavalry skirmishers rather than face their fire (there was no card to allow fall back). As per the rules, the Numidians couldn't stand and had to skirmish or run away - they broke the Roman cavalry with their fire but unfortunately their skirmish move directly back took them into a unit of slingers in front of a unit of legionnaires.

We couldn't figure out what the slingers would be able to do to respond to this - would they have to stand (& get a shot in) or could they evade back though the legion, who would then wipe out the Numidians when they hit them? We played that the slingers went back through the legion, but were wondering if this was correct - it didn't affect the game (Hannibal was being less than legendary!).

Thanks in advance,

Norman
