Hello I would like to use some Varangian guard in a Byzantine army. In the army list they are classed as short spear. Does this literally mean the model should have a short spear or would an axe or sword be suitable instead. Reason I ask is the models I was intending to use have axes / swords. Thanks.

Hello, in Kings in the North, Early Tudor English, pikemen with halbediers are listed. 1) how do these work I can't see where it is explained in the notes? Also how do you pay for this in your army list. Do you add a line with 2 halbediers in or some such like ? Thanks a lot.
