Do barricades wheel with heavy artillery ? or does the artillery wheel thru them ?
Barricades always stay fixed where they are.
So if artillery can move they just go through them and lose the benefit.
This representing opening gates and gaps to get them through.
So generally if you take artillery with barricades it give you the plus of safety but you have to live with the negative of it having locked down your field of fire.
We actually had this in the recent Malta game where the guns tried to escape French Knights coming at them from the flank by a mid of turning 90 so barricades were then on their flanks, and some moving through and then wheeling. Didn't work ....
