Just as a note... with the new points total you cannot get close to 10k points even if you take the best generals and the entire list... if you upgrade 64 pilgrims to either fanatic or javelin armed you can just get to about 9850pts but it forces you to take all of these upgrades instead or basic pilgrims which is about 9500pts
Should the list there be allowed more pilgrims - increase the max to like 240 bases????
This is not correct. I have constructed an army of 10,912 points from the list.
Note: The Fanatical Pilgrims are not an upgrade. So you can have 32 fanatical pilgrims in addition to the 180 pilgrims.
Also the Allied generals can be Talented.
The army I constructed has:
2 Competent Instinctive generals. 2 Allied Talented Instinctive generals. = 1,800 pts
Acerage Unfortified camp - 210 pts.
6 French knights 1158 pts
6 Italian and German crusaders - 828 pts.
148 Pilgrims - 3552 pts
32 Upgraded pilgrims - 1280 pts
32 Fanatical pilgrims - 1280 pts
24 Javelinmen - 480 pts
12 Slingers - 324 pts

Was talking to Alasdair regarding playing with the People Crusade and he mentioned that the Fanatic pilgrims shouldn't need the generals with to gain the ability...
Tough list to use and it would help...didn't need a general in their ranks, were driven by religious ferver
