Title: New Rule Clarifications
Post by: Kokor Hekkus on January 05, 2019, 09:47:08 AM
Quick question regards were to measure breaks from.

Last page of new carries, 2nd para

UGs broken in combat and their opponents

It states that the victor can carry on rolling if their is a chance to kill a general of achieve S result.
So do you measure KaBs from the position of were the unit breaks, or after working out results.
My thoughts are at break point if you finish rolling, or at final position if you elect to carry on rolling, bearing in mind you may have killed extra bases which take units out of the 3BW bubble

You measure from where the unit was at the start of the combat that broke it.
So choices don't affect those affected around them.
It does say this I think and mentioned you may need to add a base back to get the distance.

There are usually just two reasons to keep rolling:

1) trying to kill a general directly from a base loss (so you will then get a double KaB on them)
2) trying to get and S result next to another TuG that is fighting.

I think you have to pursue, even if you destroy all the elements.

Don't relate elements to actual men.  Think of them as the number left willing to fight.  When more have lost the will to fight than want to fight, the unit breaks.

PAGE 96...

Pursue opponent who break this move. If you kill the lot then you broke them before you did so.  So yes you pursue still even if no bases left.  Remember that there will be troops left.  The base losses represents morale and deaths not just bodies.

PS Also true for Fanatics before anyone asks.  They still broke when the last base was removed.
Title: Re: New Rule Clarifications - Shooting - Skilled vs Superior

Hi newbie so may be being dense here but cannot seem to locate a clarification on this:

On Current QRG for shooting there is a comment "or Skilled vs Superior = S on dice causes a wound" I can't seem to find a more detail explanation for what this means. Does this mean that Skilled shooters shooting at a Superior UG but not a poor or average cause a wound on an "S" dice result ?

Cheers

Yes.

Against Poor or Average they would get a dice upgrade.
