Announcement from Simon HallQuote
The Mortem et Gloriam World Championship will move to the London GT from 2020. June 27/8 and I will be there hosting with PSC. A fantastic location that is easy to get to, a great building to play in, and space for large numbers. We have set our selves the challenge of getting 200+ players within five years.
PSC sponsorship: EVERY PLAYER will receive a FREE BOX SET of our MeG Plastic figures (RRP £35). The figures are fantastic and do a complete Pacto Army.
The WINNER will get a pro-painted version of a box set. 2nd to 5th and last place will get a copy of PSCs MILITO board game.
A new MeG World Championship trophy is being created for the years ahead.
UK Ambassadors Raymond Duggins and Robin Spence will add details soon.

I have looked around for the announcement, but I can't find it. I know I saw it when it came out, but can no longer find it. Where is the 'easy to get to' location? One assumes it's in greater London somewhere, but it would be difficult to exaggerate my ignorance of London's layout. COuld someone steer me towards the notification?

We have decided to focus LGT on Skullrollers and the Mortem et Gloriam World Championship. WE will introduce ReG next year with similar PSC backing with some free ULTRACAST renaissance figures. So let's all get behind the big event!
Mortem et Gloriam now its dedicated purple page and am starting to promote it more fully. We already have our first overseas booking with Tony Hellard returning from Melbourne and Philip Nash coming over from the Philippines. 8)

Looks like this has been delayed until Sept
Probably a wise move with London the current epicentre of the virus.
An Important Message from The British Historical Gaming Society:
As you will no doubt be aware the UK Government has today considereably strengthened its advice in relation to the current Coronaviris outbreak, and is now recommending that everyone in the UK acts to reduce all forms of social contact as much as possible.
In line with these recommendations, and in order to prioritize the health and well-being of all our gamers this year's Roll Call event will not now take place this April.
We will be speaking to the venue in the coming days to see if it might be possible to reschedule Roll Call for later this year however given the uncertainties involved in this, both for the venue and for individual players the BHGS team have taken the decision to issue full refunds (via the Eventbrite platform) to all currently signed up players within the next couple of days. Please contact us if you do not recieve notification of a refund by the end of this week.
BHGS Events @ London GT
We have also been notified in the last few hours by the main organiser of the London GT event scheduled for June that they too will be following UK Government advice and postponing the LGT event until September 26th-27th. Our current expectation is that all of the historical events running under the BHGS umbrella currently scheduled to run at the LGT this year will also be postponed to this date, depending on umpire and theme organiser availability.
Anyone who has bought a ticket for events at the LGT will shortly be sent an email by the LGT organising team detailing how these changes impact them and what to do if they can't make the new date. The full announcement from the LGT has been posted on the LGT Facebook page.
The BHGS Challenge @ UK Games Expo
The UKGE organisers have this afternoon posted on Facebook that they ae consulting with their venue partners and plan to make an announcement about this year's event on Tuesday 17th March at 6pm, which players signed up are advised to look out for.
Britcon 2020
For the rest of the year, our current hope remains that we will be able to stage Britcon in Manchester at the beginning of August largely as planned, however any decision to go ahead will only be taken if there are significant, positive changes to current UK Government advice regarding social distancing before June of this year.
If it becomes necessary to cancel Britcon, all paid bookings for both traders and players will be refunded in full.
These are challenging times for all of us, but we are sure you will all agree that putting the health of you, your families, friends and colleagues first is far more important than gaming at this precise moment, and it is this sentiment which is informing the difficult decisions we are all having to make at this point in time.
We thank you for your understanding, and look forward to seeing all of you across the table at some point later this year (most probably with several newly painted amies...).
The BHGS Team
Is it possible to register for Skull Rollers september ?
More news next week but it staying non the original date at Battlefield Hobbies.
We think the virus will be on way down bay then.
Govt forecast of 12 weeks matches that.
If not we will drop it.
Method is going to be a 1GBP reserve a place fee and the remaining 39GBP (it includes lunch both days) only booked once we are sure it is going ahead.
There will be a singles comp at LGT in September.
If Skulls cannot happen the World Championship will then be LGT - but I can't be there.

Some what less promising today. Social distancing in UK to go on for 12 months!!
Hard to believe that.
If it hasn't worked by long before that there is no point.
But could easily be 2 more months.
S
Our specialists here are still studying it . So back to "how it was before" at least 6 months . But new mesures will be taken step by step and that is why it will take time . And while there is no vaccin ( 2021 ) , danger is still there especially for people - like me - with diabetis and other heart problems ...so it might take time.
That's right. As disappointing and frustrating as the isolation might be, we have to remember it was never meant to be a 'cure'. It was meant to reduce the infection rate to a manageable level so our health systems could cope and we would lose less people. The only way out will be a vaccine, especially if the reports out of South Korea about recovered patients re-contracting the virus are true.
Still 11 weeks away.
So a good chance this will go ahead.
22 reserved plus me and Hammy.
20 spaces left.
1GBP to reserve.

So what is the plan ? I already know that hjune will be impossible for me but will skull be cancelled, maintained, postposed ?
I think there so many areas of doubt. Will a second peak occur after recent slackening of restraints. Will there be any hotels open and so on.
Not to mention overseas players having to go not quarantine for two weeks when they arrive in the country!!
