When in Charge Combat do pikes get a +1 for the 2+ ranks and another +1 if they are in 4 ranks - so a +2 overall. So similarly in melee would the oikes get +2 with 3+ ranks.
On the crib sheet there are the statements that piles have same factors as Long Spears and then ....+1 etc etc.
Yup, basically pikes get an aditional +1 above Long Spear claims for 4 (charge) or 3 (melee) ranks.
