Hello,
i understand that the lists of Alexander are split up in campains he did.
But then :
why allow elephants for Alexandre's army before he went to india? why does he have them during his conquest of greece?
why has the expedition 2 companion cav and not the previous list?
i fail to see the rationale for the expedition to only have LF and not at least drilled loose.
JL
The main list is Alexandrian Macedonian
Alexander's army can only have Elephants from 326 CE.
The Alexandrian Expeditionary list is for the occasions when Alexander led light raiding parties on expeditions (usually to take Mountain strongholds). It started out as a bit of fun, but some people have demonstrated it is a serious competition army by winning competitions with it. It doesn't need loose foot. It has more cavalry because it represents a different scale of army.
