Title: World Championship Skull Rollers 2019
Post by: Simon Meg-Meister on July 01, 2019, 08:57:49 AM
Congratulations to our various winners.
To Alasdair for retaining the trophy against very difficult opposition; Olivier for taking 3rd place back to France; and to CID for making 2nd place using Hussites (which got best army as well).

Full Results attached with slight correction for one error discovered in Robin's score.

1st Place   Alasdair Harley
2nd Place  Laurence Donohoe
3rd Place  Olvier Joucla
Best Army Laurence Donohoe - Hussite
Best Terrain Piece  Andy Clarke - Monoan Village

To next year at a larger and cooler (in both senses) venue!

Sorry to be picky, but there is an error in my score. I won round 4 against Sam Street 15-4, not 5-4. I finished with 60 points, not 50. Looks like a simple input error brought on by heat and stress.

Here is an update.
So 2 USA players in the 4-9th position top quartile.
Must admit I liked the Burmese army so much may have to create one...

Thanks, Simon. Sorry to hear about your car troubles.

Regardless of score, it was a great event and I will try to be back next year if possible. All 5 games were very enjoyable and educational, including the ones I got thrashed in. Jason, Simon, Steven, Sam, and Jamesl are all good players and fine competitors. I will be back.

Battlefield Hobbies have entered contract discussions to move to larger premises. Still in Daventry but as I understand it on the other side of the town.

No problem, Hunter you are booked in there for next year. Train to Murmansk and then cycle 300 miles to the venue. Simples.
