Basho go-ers
May I respectively suggest that you take a photograph of your approved army list with your 'phone and bring your 'phone with you to the basho. This will avoid any embarrassing last minute panics around "missing" bits of paper that are quite important to you in ensuring you have a great weekend.

Already printed force list and army list :)
Same
Well, why not? ;)
Actually, it's radically different, it's only got one unit of average bows...
Interesting that there is only one BCE army, and vast majority after Y1K. Dunno what it means, but it's interesting.

Space issue? Easier to take 2 biscuits box than a truck load of mini?
I think there are two BCE armies, not that that changes your point at all.
Not sold on the space argument, 15mm armies are never that hard to transport. The usual culprit when rules sets incline towards late armies in open comps is over-effective knights but, looking at the lists selected, I'm not sure that is necessarily the culprit either (although it may be part of it). It could be a broader preference for mounted, that tend to be more numerous and better equipped in later lists.
Interesting

There are 3 BCE, Mycenian, The Hegemony and Parthian.
1) I suspect it's just what everyone has been building over the last few years.
b) Most eastern lists are CE to start with due to lack of accurate historical records prior to that, so that means a later start date in open competition.
III) plus there have been more CE competitions, so people will be happier and comfortable with their choices (except Robin).
Its only 3100 years between first and last lists...
