Title: Making space for friends
Post by: badhabum on May 17, 2026, 03:04:28 PM
The discussion was about the following : A TUG moves forward, shifts 1/2 a base to avoid a friendly unit and the player wanted to shift a whole line of immobile infantry as well so as to make space .

Not being in a melee situation and conforming it seemed illegal .

I seem to remember it might have been possible years agon in another beta version so I'll admit I hesitate .

I found nothing in the rules to allow this

So what's the right answer ?

Assuming I've understood the situation you are correct; there is nothing allowing displacement of non-SUGs* unless it is due to alignment of files for combat.

* and displacement of SUGs refers to "a friendly SUG" (my emphasis).
