Title: Problem with 2026 Army Builder
Post by: AntiokosIII on October 24, 2025, 02:31:11 AM
I have put together 3 lists using 2026 list on the 2026 Army Builder. I used a unit of Light Horse in each. The scouting points I would normally expect for 6 skirmishing cavalry do not show up in the scouting points total. What have I done wrong? Is this a known glitch, or has my known low intelligence betrayed me again?

There is an updated version which corrects this - so if you redownload you should be good.

Indeed the option does seem to be missing - presumably the lookup isn't quite correct.

No Mobile either when I look.

I have corrected the issue.  Download the file again and it should allow you the proper choice of camps.

Another problem has arisen. I downloaded the latest Army Builder and re-did the Early Seleukid list. Everything added in fine until I got to unit 8, which was an 8 stand unit of Thracians (Formed loose, Avg Protected, charge only Javelinmen, SS, ME) I entered the units and the AB showed a 4.5 break point, but showed zero points cost. While Iwould love some=e free Thracians, I seriously doubt this is correct. What did I do wrong?

APOLOGIES TO EVERYONE.  When I fixed one error, I reintroduced another error....

MY BAD VERSION CONTROL....   :(

The correct version should be dated 28/10/2025.  If you have an earlier version, reload the correct version from the OneDrive.

The date within the spreadsheet itself (on the input sheet) is 28/10/2025.
The modified date on the files is 28/10/2025 in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

Not sure what else I can say....

I just downloaded the army builder ods version. The "Army Book List" is not updating when I type in the army list number.

And the shooting weapon drop down has "Shooting" as the first list element, and no " - " .

Edit: it is possible to copy and paste the dash from an unused troop line. But the dash still doesn't appear in the drop down list.

Edit: This problem only occurs on the lines I copied and pasted from the 2025 list builder. The problem is fixed by pasting from a line that wasn't pasted from the 2025 army builder.

This seems to be a problem with the data validation check and I am not sure why.  I have removed the validation check and the formula works correctly.

Make sure when copying lines from the 2025 army builder that you copy VALUES only.  The data has changed from 2025 to 2026 pushing the shooting weapons down one line which is why the validation checks get mucked up.  Only copy and paste columns A to O.

There is another possible problem with the Excel version. When selecting the 'Charge only' option in the shooting skill field the cost per base reduces to zero. All the other options appear to generate the correct cost per base.

Have you loaded the most recent version from the OneDrive folder?  It works correctly for me.
