Title: 2026 Proposed Amendments #5.3 - Elephants shoot at foot ranges

Elephants will shoot 4 BW instead of the current 3 BW.

What is the reason ? Not all archers do sit in an howdah ? What about non moving chariots ? The question has to be asked

The answer is very simple. Elephants with shooting capability are those with significant infantry close supporting them (some lists specifically mention this in the unit description but not all, but it is the case) and the shooting represents these infantry hence they should use the foot shooting range.
