Is a SuG destroyed?
1) If a skirmishing SuG, meets enemies (SuG or TuG)
If he meets friends, this is clearly indicated
P68 5L 4
And if he CAN'T COMPLETE his move, he's destroyed.
P68 5L 4.4
"4.4. If such a move cannot thereby be completed:
SuGs are destroyed."
2) If a charging SuG meets enemies TuG
Thank you for your answer

1- its stops in front of the enemy Sug/Tug. 4.4 only applies to meeting friends.
2- my understanding is if its charging and hits an enemy tug in good going, it fights. Except if the enemy tug is also charging and then its auto destroyed (unless enemy tug is with 1 base of breaking) P70 '4.1. A SuG contacted in, or partially in, good going is dispersed by a charging TuG unless the TuG is within a base of breaking. The SuG is removed and the TuG's charge then continues its full distance.'

if it can't complete is move because friend, it is destroyed
if it can't complete is move because enemy, it stop
so, it is better to meet enemy than friend, very strange
If you meet friends you can pass through/burst through as long as there is room behind the UG you meet (KaBs may apply). Meeting enemy means you are more likely to be caught.

I understand, but a SuG that can't complete is move has the choice between, being destroyed :( and stopping in front of an enemy :)
and for question 2, it's the same thing, it stops in front of a TuG?
do you stoppe at 1 BW or to a millimeter?
(the rule is the rule "dura lex sed lex")

yes but the only time you cant complete a move with a friend in your way is if there is something beyond that friend preventing you bursting through them and finishing your move behind them, for example a second friendly UG is too close to the first Ug to allow a burst through and all bases to fit in the gap between the two Ug's in your way. Its not an option to stop in front of a friendly Ug, you just crash through them, either as a permitted interpenetration, EG through skirmishing infantry, or as a burst through, potentially causing Kabs on one or both. Only if you cant fit beyond them do you die if a sug or stop if a tug.
as to stopping in front of an enemy Ug, its as close as you can get without touching.
so, in both situation
1) If a skirmishing SuG, meets enemies (SuG or TuG)
2) If a charging SuG meets enemies TuG
"as to stopping in front of an enemy Ug, its as close as you can get without touching."
ok, I will apply
Thanl you

for 2 a charging sug makes contact, its a charge, they fight.

for 2 a pursuing or charging sug makes contact, it does not stop short, they fight.
So
1) If a skirmishing SuG, meets enemies (SuG or TuG)
it stops
2) If a charging SuG meets enemies TuG
it does not stop
ok, not easy to understand but I will apply
Thank you
sorry to bring it up again
but reading the clarifications "https://lurkio.co.uk/meg/meg/wp-content/uploads/MEG2022/Compendium%20Clarries%20v13%2021122022.pdf"
even though this is a bit old, the intention is, I think, the same
"SuGs that charge into or that are caught by TUGs in good going are broken immediately and removed"
"It is not the intention that a SuG could hold up a TuG by fighting it"
So, 2) If a charging SuG meets enemies TuG
the SuG does not fight, but it is destroyed
Correct?
I'm not trying to be right, I just want to play the game properly.
Thank you, if there could be an official reply
Richard, Nick ...
A charging SuG that contacts an enemy TuG in good going is destroyed. The exception is if the enemy TuG is within 1 base of breaking (which SuGs are allowed to charge).
Richard
clear
thank you Richard
