The Terrain Table has some entries for rough terrain that say "Camels and Elephants treat as Good Going". I thought I understood this but a discussion at a recent comp made me doubt myself so here are a couple of questions:-
1) An elephant TUG is moving through Brush, does it go 3BW (the speed for Rough) or 4BW (the speed for Good going)
2) A camel TUG charges a Loose infantry TUG in Brush. Does it get the +1 claim for Cm in Good Going vs Loose foot (because it counts good going) or not (because the infantry counts Rough)
Thanks in advance for any guidance!
I'll give it a try
1) Elephants move as in good going so 4 BW
2 ) the attacking TUG is considered to be in the open so attacks it's opponent in the open and get's the +1 . If defending it would be the same it is in the open so get's the initial +1 as well
Any other views?
(I asked the question because I was told an umpire had ruled the answer to the first question was 3BW not 4BW, which surprised me)
1) Moves 4 BW.
2) Gets the +1 claim.
I am fed up with the number of times I get told that an umpire ruled it another way (not this specific example, just generally). Anyone says it to me while I am umpiring, I immediately rule against them on general principles.... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

got it, reverse the question , claim an umpire told me and so get it ruled in my favour ;) :)
That's why I asked it as a neutral question to start with!
I realise that it was even worse in this case - a second hand report of what an unknown umpire said! I added the detail because I didn't get much response initially.
Thanks for your answer :)
Anyway, umpires are human beings, they make mistakes too
