The FF characteristic is just a complete waste of time and points. Absurd that the rules reference the Breton cav. using it successfully @ Hastings. Clearly Harold's troops weren't told that they can ignore the Bretons.
Either make it useful by requiring ALL/nearly all troop types to respond eg all but superior units, or or reduce the price to 1 point per base. Perhaps even 1 pt is too expensive.
I'm sure that when* we review the rules FF will be looked; it is clearly unsatisfactory.

Sounds like a good candidate for an army characteristic like they have in ReG. It's the way we play it when we run scenario based games i.e. if the army can use it then we count it for any troop types that it's applicable for.

I am not ruling out the idea of more of an army characteristic, but I don't think it solves the issue. Personally I would have something like all Forced Charges against troops with feigned flight characteristic require a RED card to hold, regardless of troop training. THAT SAID ANY RULE CHANGES ARE NOT GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE NEAR FUTURE (see Simon's postings on this topic).
The current characteristic doesn't seem satisfactory to me.
