Title: Elephant kings
Post by: badhabum on January 01, 2024, 12:40:32 PM
Do the Elephnat Kings give any bonuses to other type of troops ?

As written my answer is no as it is specified it gives a bonus to elephant files and honestlty I wonder how a elephant king will give bonuses to an infantry unit or cavalry TUG  8)

But who knows between the intend and the written rule we might get surprises

I realise this may be more difficult if English isn't a first language.

Generals in an army with the Elephant Kings special rule behave as normal generals.  The only difference is that they can give a +1 claim by fighting in a file of elephants in their own command. No other changes are implied by the special rule.
So a mediocre/competent/talented general fighting with a cavalry/chariotry/camelry/infantry TuG gives +1 claim as normal.  A legendary general would give a +2 claim.

A general can get off an elephant and mount a horse or vice versa...
