To be held at Battlefield Hobbies, Daventry; 1st and 2nd June 2024.
As mentioned previously, based on the way the calendar is developing for 2024 competitions I am making this one a medieval theme. However, as the Footsloggers theme has attracted some support I will look to see if there is somewhere we could squeeze that in during 2024 as well.

TTWNN PSA
As this has been mentioned to me recently as an occasional issue (but not last weekend in caser anyone thinks it is about Campaign) I thought I'd post something.
If you have UGs with mixed troops within them, such as Knights and Sergeants, please ensure that the figures you are using do distinguish between them in such a way that your opponent can see the difference. A number of lists even mention in notes that in such mixed formations the troops must be "easily distinguished". Obviously the figures for the different types should also be historically plausible for what they represent (within our usual "don't take the piss" approach).

There were quite a few Catalan Almoghavars at this comp and I promised people I would dig out a few quotes from Ramon Muntaner's account of the Catalan expedition. So:-
"What can I tell you? The fighting was very heavy: but what good did it do them? For the Grand Duke and his company threw themselves upon them in such a manner that the Turks could withstand no more"
"What can I tell you? The fighting was very harsh and very cruel but in the end the Franks raised a cry, shouting "Aragon, Aragon!" and drew such strength from this that they overcame the Turks.
"What can I tell you? Out of all the Alans fewer than three hundred escaped"
So the quotes are a bit more complicated than I remembered - but they have the key features of a rhetorical question followed by a lack of detail except "we wacked them hard" ....
