Hello,
I was browsing army lists, and I happened to compare two units :
- Kurdish-like Lancers (see for example 4513 Ilkhanate) : Formed Loose-Average-Protected-CL : 105 points a base
- Lombard-like Cavalry (see for example 5603 Norman Sicilian) : Formed Loose-Average-Protected-SSp-DC : 103 points a base
Unless I am mistaken, these two profiles would behave the same way in many conditions, and the pricing being very similar is a good signal.
Although there are some differences, such as :
- SSp and DC can be claimed even if affected by terrain, unlike CL
- If they were missile-focused, DC could claim free charge (but not mandatory) while CL would have to pay
- I certainly forgot some ...
I therefore wonder if the combination SSp+DC is fairly priced when being cheaper than CL, who pays more to get the same claims in less situations.
Best,
Antoine
DC requires 2 ranks, CL requires only 1. Foot DC don't have a claim against CL.
So I think the points is about right.
