One of the rule addenda from 2018 states that :
Forced charges do not burst trough friends who are already in combat, .....
Today one player argued that as only part of his unit was in combat, he could burst trough his unit with some charging lancers as the files he would pass trough were not engaged in combat .
So the unit was in combat, the files burst trough were not ...
The rules only specify "friends" ...so files and overlaps or is friends a TUG ?
i must say in the claries the wording used does not correspond to the words used in the rules :
Friends : means SUG ? TUG ? or UG ? or unengaged bases ? engaged bases ? or all friendly bases ?
A good spot.
I will clarify it as files in combat.
More precise and better.

Added to official clarry stream ...
Bursting through friends in combat
Forced charges may not burst through FILES in combat, but may burst through ones that are not fighting (frontally or as supporting files).

As a forced charging TUG may (rarely I suspect) have files that both burst through and cannot burst through how would this affect the KaB(s) required? Do the forced chagers suffer one for bursting throough and one for not being able to?
I think its covered, but stand to be corrected, as it's 1 test for any and a further one if more than 3 files burst through - see QRS on KaBs.
Page 71 deals with the rest.... 7.3 refers to SuGs and TuGs so the whole lot goes.

in the clarries :
"but may burst through ones that are not fighting (frontally or as supporting files)."
so if not fighting frontaly you can burst trough them? even if there is an enemy in the flank?
Thank you Jilu, altered to...
Forced charges may not burst through FILES in combat, but may burst through ones that are not fighting (rolling a dice in a fight or as supporting file).
