So that's lists in 900 years after the event - might be a little bit of a challenge, maybe leave them in a Time Capsule somewhere
On a more helpful note is it 10K Maximus? Sounds interesting - be able to confirm nearer the time.
I'll get painting some more spearmen. Hope yo be there if I can accumulate enough GBPs at home.
I'm still not clear if it is 10,000 points? 3 hour games might benefit from fewer points. (In fact I'm still not clear if it is Maximus?)
10k Maximus I believe. Will get Pete to confirm.
Confirmed and added to the initial post.
Have my eye on this one and hope to be there.
I am rather new to MeG and have never played Maximus nor been to any competitions. I assume this is 15mm scale?
Welcome
This is indeed 15mm.
Come and join us for a little "poke-in-the-eye-with-a-long-stick" action.
Figures can be leant ;D
I assume the long spearmen must be infantry? Otherwise this would allow cataphracts?
Richard
I've been to a total of 2 competitions only and they have both been very enjoyable. More experienced and veteran opponents have been friendly and happy to explain the rules. At my stage of the game I'm also not the fastest of players and haven't felt rushed. Indeed, making inexperienced moves can make a more experienced player think "Why has he done that?" when I've done something unexpected. At least that is the hypothesis sometimes.
Regarding the lists deadline, I am trying out one list tomorrow at our club then based on that performance I'll be deciding which to use. Additionally, I'm assuming as it is a school parking at the venue will not be any problem? Also, not much turn-around between games so lunch is on the go when you can?
List submitted.
