I was wondering if there will be a MeG competition at Cancon23? If so, how many games over how many days?
Hi mate, yes there will be.
Are you on Facebook? This is where it is most often discussed/advised:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/mortemetgloriamAU
An event IS happening. I am unsure if it will be 2 days or 3 days - best to ask there if that has been decided yet, along with points. Usually it is 10,000 for the 'Nationals' at CanCon however.
Cheers
Dru
Thank you very much for your reply. I am not on Facebook but I imagine that there will be information provided on their website at some stage.
Again, thanks for your response. I can now make firm plans to attend.
Hi mate, if you want to message me your email address I can ask the organisers to keep you in the loop.
Dru
I have also noted your post here to the Tournament Organiser so he can either give me the details to post here or he may come here himself.
Cheers
Dru
Hello Dru,
Thanks for this. I think it's easier if the information is posted here. Easier for me and gives more people access to the Tournament information.
I look forward to catching up next January.
Latest is it will be a 3 day comp (though I assume there is a 2-day only option given the pub hol is the Thur in 2023 but that hasn't been announced by the MEG TO yet).
Usually for the nationals it is 10,000 points and OPEN (all lists from all books) but again awaiting details. Will keep you in the loop (though I did also ask the TO to post here).
Cheers
Dru

Goodluck!
Ta, thanks for the information. I can now make plans around trying to attend and participate.
Usually two games per day? Any idea what time the last Monday game might finish? This to help me make plans re accommodation and travelling north.
Again, thanks for this information. I am looking forward to attending if all goes to plan.
2 games per day, they have a time limit. Usually finish around 4:45 -5:00pm so I would plan for a bit later than that.
Hello Keldruk and Dru,
I have taken the plunge and entered the MeG competition. Hopefully the weather will be kind and the poor devils through central and inland NSW will get some respite. And the roads will be clear to allow access from southern inland Qld.
I was wondering about the etiquette involved. When do you learn the draw and times? how are lists submitted? aspects of terrain description? check-in time and location etc?
Regards,
Hi All have registered for the Cancon Meg event some time ago havent heard anything or seen anything about list checking or whether the 2023 lists will be used. when is any info going to be posted/sent
Cheers
Ron
I have asked the TO to reply here and get in touch with you
Cheers
Dru
TO (Carl) is having log in issues here but he has given me the player pack to share - see attachment below.
Please email him if attending (see pack) -- apparently they haven't been provided the registration list by CanCon yet...

Hello Dru,
Thanks for this information.
I intend to attend and entered in November last year.
I can only access a read-only version of the 23 Army Builder and so I intend to send a 22 list. I will ensure that it is compatible with a 23 list. The only person who may be disadvantaged here could be me as it appears some of the bases in the new list might be slightly cheaper.
I trust that this will be acceptable.
I am not on facebook.
Regards,
Hi mate, I am not the TO - just passing along the pack.
If you message me your email I can connect you with the TO (his name is Carl).
Dru
I found I could unlock the army builder 2023 by leaving the password blank, ticking the popup page, another popup shows and check (no password).
Attached is the player pack.

Thanks to all at the MeG competition at Cancon. I enjoyed myself immensely despite getting my backside handed to me on a plate more times than I would like to admit. I learnt a great deal during the course of the games, in-particular regarding flank charges and how valuable Cantabrian can be. And bloody guns!
As I had to leave early for the long drive north does anyone know the final results? I'd be grateful if someone could put them up here.
Regards to all.

Ta, thanks for that.
