Are standard hills allowed to be placed as compulsory terrain pieces?
The PBS chart specifies a number of rough/open areas and/or a number of difficult pieces.
Hills count as good going - but are not the same as open areas(flat ground clear of any terrain)
That would suggest hills can only be chosen as optional terrain items.
However p 68 of the rulebook has an example where the Romans choose a normal hill as their compulsory terrain piece.
So should the PBS chart be amended from rough/open areas to rough/good going areas?
Or am I missing something?
The hills aren't alive with the sound of answers.
Anyone help out here?
Given the example includes a gentle hill, I think it is difficult to argue against allowing them as a compulsory item. The PBS chart should say rough/good going/open area.
Note that terrained hills are special items so can only be selected as optional items.

Thanks.
Simon has confirmed by email that he intended to allow them.
