Hi guys,
My skirmishers have asked me to clarify a small matter: what exactly does "one base of breaking" mean ? They apparently need to be sure, so I obliged.
Let's say I have TuG of 6 bases, so it would basically break upon the 1st wound after it has lost 3 bases. Does that mean "1 base of breaking" is when:
a) it has lost 2 bases (since it breaks on 3, and the last wound needed does not count)
b) it has lost 3 bases (since it breaks on 3, but still needs a wound to be broken)
c) it has lost 2 bases and taken 1 wound (since it needs to lose exactly one more base until it breaks)
Many Thanks,
Dan's Skirmishers
A TuG breaks on > 1/2 bases. So it breaks on 3 bases + 1 wound lost. So within a base means that once it has suffered 2 bases + 1 wound lost it is within one base of breaking.

That's what I thought as well, but I was still in doubt.
Many thanks for the very prompt reply.
I would like to follow up on this topic:
can you confirm if the same approach applies directly to Magna and Pacto ?
- in Magna, usual TUG size is 4, so skirmishers can charge after TUG loses one base and one wound -it that right ?
- in Pacto, skirmishers can charge a TUG after it loses just one wound - is that right ?
cheers,
KaVoo
The rule doesn't change for Magna or Pacto, one of a couple reasons skirmishers are better in Pacto.
indeed. A few things make Pacto more dramatic ... which one might argue real battles were in fact.
