The Catalan Company list in Greece list states "Almughavars were described as lightly armoured and equipped with a couple of iron darts similar to a Roman pilum etc. It is assumed that they may have acquired more protection but this is speculative"
The army list specifies all Almughavars as Protected (not Unprotected as per the earlier Anatolian list). If this is speculative why are they defined as Protected in the later list, rather than Unprotected with an option to upgrade (Any or All ?) to Protected ?
Simply, the army wouldn't have the right feel. If you want unprotected Almughavars choose the Anatolian list.
