I'm planning on building a Cyrenean Greek army with chariot mounted dismountable hoplites and I had some questions about how to base them: The rulebook says "mounted infantry should have a cavalry sized horse holder base behind every two infantry bases or have other acceptable mounted bases (or markers) provided" Does that mean on a 2 wide 6 base TUG of Hoplites It would look like this? How do other players base dismountable Infantry?

Well, I scratch built wagons that 2 hoplite bases fit into. For 3 ranks I put two wagons facing forwards and one sideways, making it clear to my opponent that they are all facing forwards. The hoplite bases have to be narrower than normal (10 mm x 40 mm)
I note that the rule you quoted did not specify that the two infantry per cavalry base need to be one behind the other, so if you followed it strictly you could have:

I suspect if you simply put a full rear rank of mounts, no-one would complain. They are mainly acting as a marker to show the troops are still mounted.
It might be useful to have clarification from an umpire or the author on how to handle it when enemy contact the mounts, but not the infantry bases.

That hoplite wagon is wonderful!!! If you do up the rest of the TUG with carts, please post it in the Modeling thread!
If you are worried about the shallow infantry bases, you could put an empty 40x10 base in the middle or back of the UG to make up the difference... but I don't imagine the gap between a 10mm base depth and a 15mm base depth is going to make a world of difference with decent table etiquette. :)
Okay, so you have a full set of carts for your infantry, makes sense. I think I'm just going to put a few chariot bases in the back and call it good. I doubt it will make much of a difference, I do kind of wonder if the "Horse holder" base fights in combat if it gets contacted, and does it take damage?

I have magnetic sabot bases from other rules where base depth is important.
