If a TuG expands into a SuG in good going, which is next to a TuG in combat, using an MF1 move does the SuG get pushed back? I see that SuGs don't get pushed back if they are in close combat, but combat is defined as files that are fighting and a supporting file is a file next to one which is fighting.
So my understanding is that they would get pushed back.
Combat is defined as "files that are fighting". This is distinct from engaged bases which are defined as including "supporting files".
So my view has always been that a SuG that is a supporting file is pushed back in the movement phase by an enemy TuG using an MF1 move.
I say movement phase because if you do an MF1 move in the fighting phase (SP 5.5 after combat) then the SuG is NOT pushed back (as pushing back SuGs only applies in the movement phase).

Thanks again.
Yes, that last point is important - I have often forgetten that one.
