Title: flank attacker breaks - how is it pursued?
Post by: jasonbroomer on September 20, 2021, 04:49:01 PM
A theoretical question popped into my mind -

A foot TuG fights a unit and hits its target in in the flank, say at a 90 degree angle. The target is fighting with no other enemy. The TuG breaks...

How does the target pursue? Some ideas are

a) free turn and full move pursuit
b) it wheels

Does the defender have any options?

An unlikely event but could happen if the attacker is already close to breaking.  Also I can see this situation arising with kiels

I am tempted to say read the rules.

You only pursue if you are fighting to your front (page 167 C:2).
