Title: F2, F3 and F4 Break Off moves
Post by: AlecJH on August 30, 2021, 12:28:11 PM
Something I have been meaning to ask for a while - The notes to the F4 prompted action states "Speed defined as prior to breaking off = when in combat and as affected by terrain."

Whilst this appears to be clarifying the important aspect of how speed is determined, unlike the notes to F2 and F3 it is not laying down any restrictions on whether the move has to be directly backwards or any limits on how far it can be.

Conversely neither F2 or F3 have any definition of speed.

I have been playing it that all three are governed by the same Speed definition as in F4 and the direction and distance of each is as per the notes on the F2 and F3 lines.

Have I been playing it right?

IMO the wording in the F2/F3 and F4 notes apply to all of those moves and should have been a single combined notes box for all 3 lines. Its how its played anyway in my experience.
