Title: Hittites - 3rd time round
Post by: nikgaukroger on August 15, 2021, 01:40:35 PM
Jumping back about 2200 years from the Chinese I am once again giving a Hittite army a go. Done it a couple of times before but have never been happy with the figures/how it looked and so sold them off. These are Gladiator 15mm from Fighting 15's and I rather like these - no idea why it took me so long to find them  ;D  For this unit I replaced the usually supplied unarmoured horses with armoured horses as this unit is the king's bodyguard chariotry - SUS KU.SIG "golden chariot fighters".

These figures are actually advertised as Mitanni. Haven't used the Hittite ones I am fully convinced (as far as one can be for the bronze age) that the Hittites would have pretty much looked the same and were chariot archers as opposed to the spearmen that they have been rated as in many (previous) wargames rules/lists.
