I am registered to run my version of the Battle of Catalaunian Fields 451AD, again at Cold Wars in March. Hoping to get more players than last time. The game is set up to handle up to 6 players. To me, it is a very interesting fight. Lots of cavalry. Lots of different armies. It's been fun every time I've ran it, with friends and at Fall In.
On another note, is it too early to start planning Historicon?
Cannot make Cold Wars. Have plane ticket and hotel for Historicon paid paid. I don't think it's too early to begin planning.
I am coming over for Historicon again.
Some advance planning would be great for me so I can choose which lead to lug over The Pond.
Si and I had suggested only armies that have Jungle in their terrain list :)
i hope to make it to Historicon i think it should be an open tournament.
I think there is a theme to Historicon so we had an idea of only armies that could have certain territories.
Still gives lots of choice. It does need to be fairly open to attract players after last years great start.

Historicon's theme is Extreme Terrain: Jungle Warfare. Have to check my Tang figures against the MeG army lists to see if I need to start painting new troops. Haven't used my Tang army in a MeG game yet.
In the mean time, I'm curious...any chance of running a query against the army list database to get a list of armies with jungle?
I also vote to keep the event as open as possible.
I would love to attend Historicon this year, but it is either Skullrollers or Historicon. I love the theme idea. Has the terrain expanded to Jungle, Mountain and Desert? Maybe that is too open. Just Jungle and Mountain?
Against all odds I now plan to attend Historicon this summer. It does not look as if we know who is planning to contact HMGS about setting up an event. Do we plan a tourney? If so, I hope we can dispense with the terrain theme. I personally own several armies that can choose Jungle, but most people do not. I don't want to exclude people without themed armies.I suggest we keep it as open as possible.
My vote is that we stay away from the convention theme as well.
Given it will be limited on numbers this year due to people travelling to skull rollers I would go open entirely.

Has anyone volunteered to arrange an event or 2 at H-con?
Rob did it last year with some input from me.
Happy to assist again.

I'm going to Historicon I'll help where ever needed ;)
As much as I love this game, I am not going to be reliable for Historicon. Work is going extremely well, which means it is demanding more time.
I'm hoping to just attend Historicon for one day this year. Emphasis on "hoping."
I would like to make it to Historicon, but I can't be certain for awhile. I will borrow a 15mm army to play again if that's all that's on offer.
Who is going to coordinate MeG at Historicon?
Whoever you are, maybe we should consider a PACTO event for newer players and instructional games. just an idea.
